Statement of Faith

Section 1. The Bible

We believe the the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the verbally inspired Word of God, infallible, God-breathead, and inerrant in the original autographs; that the Bible is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and life.

Section 2. God

We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: that God is omnipotent, omnipresent, immutable, infinitely holy, and the Creator and sustainer of all things; that the
Persons of this Triune God are co-eternal in being, co-identical in essence, and co-equal in power and glory.

Section 3. Jesus Christ

A. We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifest in the flesh, begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary; that He was and is both true God and true man.

B. We believe that Jesus entered the world to redeem man by His death on the cross as a vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; that our salvation is by being justified in the sight of God; that Christ’s bodily resurrection from death and the shedding of His blood were absolutely necessary for our justification.

C. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to heaven where He is now exalted at the right hand of the Father, and where He, as our high Priest, intercedes for the believer.

Section 4. The Holy Spirit

We believe that all who receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior are born again into the family of God by the regenerating and renewing power of the Holy Spirit; and that the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer to guide us into all truth, to lead us in life, and to empower and enable us in testimony and service.

Section 5. Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God which is unmerited and which cannot be appropriated by ceremony or good works; that salvation must be received by faith in the death and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ resulting in the turning away from the sinful way of life.

Section 6. Depravity of Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God and in His likeness; but that in Adam’s sin mankind fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; that all men are sinners both by nature and by practice; and that all men are utterly unable to remedy their lost condition.
